The Dress

I purchased my Jane Hill - Mae gown from Flair Boston on Newbury street. It is 100% authentic Jane Hill, made in Australia. I picked it up in April 2023 and my wedding was in September 2023.

The gown is everything I could've ever imagined; fit and flare with a deep V-neckline, open back and STUNNING train. It is adorned with incredibly intricate beading throughout the entire gown, which made it sparkle beautifully in the sun and twinkle lights. It fit flawlessly - hugging and accentuating my curves in all the right places. My wedding was in Hawaii, so it was the perfect dress to suit the climate and incredibly comfortable to wear and I wore it the entire night (no need to change into a reception gown). However, given that it is floor length with an inner skirt, it would also be suitable in a cooler climate. I have never received so many compliments about this gown and I've never felt more beautiful. It's the perfect mix of elegant and femininity.

I am 5'8 and I wore 3 inch heels. The dress is in excellent condition. There are no tears or missing beads. I had the dress dry-cleaned; however, there is a very small amount of greying along the very edge of the dress that was difficult to get out due to the beading. It's not noticeable wearing the dress. This would be completely eliminating should you need the dress hemmed even slightly. Alternatively, I was told that it would probably come out with careful hand brushing by a dry cleaner's.

Alterations

The only alterations that were done was that a bustle was added and I had push-up cups added to the chest area. I also had the straps adjusted slightly.
