The Dress

I am selling the Locklin dress made by Watters/ Wtoo in an off white/ ivory colour. The top of the dress is a delicate, embroidered fitted bodice with sheer straps and pearl buttons at the back. It has a full skirt with several layers of tulle and a champagne coloured lining. I wore a modest underskirt so that it didn't puff out too much but it would accommodate a more substantial petticoat/ bridal hoop for an even more dramatic look. The craftsmanship on Watters dresses is exceptional and this dress in particular looks and feels a lot more expensive than others I tried on in a higher price range. This dress is ideal if you want something feminine but not overly princessey.

The dress is labelled as a size 0 which I was really worried about! I vary between a UK 8 – 10, never a 6 but it did fit. Because it has a full skirt it’s pretty forgiving. Length was a little long (I’m 5ft 5”) but I didn’t have it altered. I knew I would always resell my dress so I took care of it on the day. In addition, I got married at an Ice Hotel where it was minus 5 degrees inside so aside from trying it on, I only wore this dress for a maximum of about 2 hours.
