The Dress

This beautifully designed dress was handmade in NZ - by the A La Robe designer, Elizabeth Soljak. Purchased from Union Bridal in Vancouver, BC in August 2017.

I cannot say enough good things about this dress. It was absolutely perfect for me - I was able to achieve a romantic, elegant and effortless look. It is incredibly timeless, I know when I look at the pictures in the future the style will still feel appropriate. I was so comfortable all evening, was able to move and dance and take photos in the snow. I also got compliments all night long from family and friends (and my husband of course)!

It checked every box on my "must have" list for the perfect dress, after trying on over 50 dresses in stores. I hope someone else can find as much joy and satisfaction in this dress as I did!

This dress was custom made in a split size - 10 for bodice and 12 for the skirt. See below for exact measurements. I usually fit a US size 8.

Altered to have a bustle + shoulders were taken in slightly due to excess fabric. Hemmed to be floor length (I am 5'7" and was wearing 2" heals).

Dry cleaned immediately after the wedding, it still looks perfect (no marks!)
