The Dress

This incredibly gorgeous new, never worn, never altered wedding dress was made by a local designer. So cool - locally sourced!

I purchased for $2,400 in February 2020 (pre-pandemic & the whole world shutting down).

Our planned elopement was set for Northern Ireland at the Causeway Coast. Think massive castle ruins, high cliffs with the sea crashing below. Game of Thrones was partially filmed there. Very romatic and dramatic back drop. I had found my perfect guy, our perfect destination and finally my perfect dress!

Pandemic hits, world shuts down, still got married (yay!), had a baby (double yay!), planned on re-visiting dream elopement on anniversary to celebrate so was saving the dress BUT let's just say baby + early menopause body have different plans for me. My loss, is your gain!!!

This dress has been loved from day one and I truly hate to see it go but this dress desevers more than just the back of my closet. It needs to be worn! It needs to be loved all over again! It needs to be showcased!

When purchased I measured 5'3", 123 lbs, 34-B Cup, 27"-29" waist, size 2-4 depending on the clothes brand. Smaller top and a juicy boots.

I planned on wearing 3" heels & hiking boots with the dress due to the elopement location & for pictures purposes. From the pictures you can see me wearing the dress at the bridal shop. I was standing on a platform without shoes on and it still covered the platform and then some. Standing feet flat on the ground there is probably 6" of extra fabric on the floor for taller ladies than my 5'3" frame.

The top FIT LIKE A GLOVE!!! No alterations needed. I didn't feel like I needed a bra for support nor did I feel like I needed a bra to add cushion to fill in the top. It was literally the perfect fit. I felt very secure in the top and that I wouldn't struggle with it moving down on me throughout the day. I felt very confident that I could do almost anything in the dress and not have to worry about exposing myself or constantly having to pull it back up in place. It was a big concern given the location and needing to hike to the spots along the cliffs for my nig day in my big puffy dress. I fell in love instantly because it was just so easy. It's a very well made dress.

Ps. Colorful beaded belt not included. That was bought separate and used for another wedding dress I purchased as an alternative to this dress.
